Origins and evolution
Vyaniti Yoga was founded by Dr. Prema Nagesh in 2002,
initially under the name YogaTherapy4All. In 2017, it was
rebranded as Vyaniti Yoga to reflect its growing vision and
global presence.
Dr. Prema Nagesh began her journey as a yoga teacher in 1996, laying the foundation for what would become a globally recognized yoga institution.
Today, Vyaniti Yoga is affiliated with the Indian Yoga
Association and the Parmanand Institute of Science and
Research, Indore, solidifying its standing in the yoga therapy
and education community.

Meet the Founder
Dr. Prema Nagesh is the founder of Vyaniti Arogya Sthalam and Vyaniti Sevalaya Trust in Keeranoor, Tamil Nadu, and also heads Vyaniti Yoga, an organization affiliated with the Indian
Yoga Association.
Her tryst with yoga began at the age of 17 in Pune, where she immersed herself in deep personal practice for more than a decade before stepping into teaching in 1996. What started as self-
exploration gradually became her life’s mission, using yoga as a pathway to healing and holistic well-being.
Academically, Dr. Prema Nagesh has done Masters in Sociology, Masters in Yoga (Ayush), and holds a Ph.D. in Ayur Yoga from Yoga-Samskrutham University, Florida, USA. Her doctoral research, “Analytical Study of Therapeutic Effect of Isometric and Isotonic Suryanamaskar with Mantras,” reflects her dedication to bringing together ancient yogic wisdom and modern
scientific inquiry. She also earned a Master’s in Yoga from Parmananda Institute of Science and Research, and specialised in Yoga Therapy at Yoga Vidya Dham, Nashik. Alongside, she has
pursued training in Naturopathy and Meditation at renowned institutions across India.
For more than 30 years Dr. Prema Nagesh has been guiding students from teenagers to seniors (12–70 years), with a special focus on healing spinal and knee conditions such as slip disc, arthritis, and other musculoskeletal disorders. Her therapeutic approach emphasises the integration of breathwork (pranayama), mindful movements, and corrective asanas to support
recovery of the lower back and knees. She also addresses emotional well-being through Yoga Nidra, Dharana, and Dhyana, while blending modern healing methods like EFT (Emotional
Freedom Technique) to create a truly holistic system of care.
With over 30 years of devoted practice, Dr Prema Nagesh embodies the true essence of yoga with discipline, balance, and inner harmony. Her wisdom and experience inspire students to
connect deeply with body, breath, and spirit.
At the heart of her work lies a commitment to empower individuals to heal naturally, restore balance, and embrace yoga as a way of life.
